So, two things.
1. I went to the ER yesterday because of intense abdominal pain. I rode in an ambulance and they drove me to Long Island College Hospital which is right by the water in Brooklyn Heights. I stayed for 8 hours and they stuck me with needles and filled me with fluids so that I could glow during a CAT scan. I felt like a beer tap because the IV drip in my arm kept opening and shutting every time they wanted to give me a new drug. More probing, more fluids, some pain meds and then I was released. It was raining. I walked 4 blocks to the G train, Bergen stop. I still had my hospital bracelet on. I could tell you what they found but … it’s a bit personal. I mean, how personal can you get on a public blog, right? I’ve always found intensely personal blogs to be the most interesting. They don’t seem to be driven by some marketing machine. That being said, I’m not really trying to be interesting right now. Just unloading info, I guess. And yes, I will be all right.
2. I am moving next week! Still in Brooklyn, just a few stops off the L train. I’ve lived in my current apartment for 5 years (the longest I’ve ever lived in one place!) and now it’s time for a change. This feels good. I can’t wait. Good bye hipster mile! Hello, sun-filled loft!
